I’m Irene Palamaras, a Melbourne based marriage celebrant.

Almost 40 years in education shaped how I approach my work. Organisation, preparation and communication have always been central to everything I do.

The relationships I build with couples matter to me. I take the time to get to know you, because the most meaningful ceremonies feel personal, considered and entirely your own.

With a deep respect for cultural traditions and a Greek heritage of my own, I officiate weddings that celebrate customs and rituals connecting couples to their roots. Often referred to as the ‘Greek celebrant’ I regularly incorporate bilingual Greek and English elements, including traditions like the stefana (wedding crowns).

On your wedding day, much of what I do happens quietly in the background. My role is to keep everything calm and seamless so you can stay present and simply enjoy the moment.
